For book groups I'm in a group with Mercedes, Jessica, Katherine, Claire and Grace and we are all reading Running out of time by Margaret Haddix.
The good things in our group were that we all got on together, had some really good conversations and were one of the first to unlock crackers.
The things that didn't go so well were that sometimes we didn't listen to each other and we found it hard to work around some peoples after school activities to decide where to read up to.
The things that I gained from this were talking to some different people, reading a book that I normally wouldn't and having an opportunity to eat some yummy chippies and lollies.
I found that discussing books are really good because you can hear what everyone else thinks on the book and talk about what you think is going to happen next.
The only annoying thing was that all of the chapters in my book stopped at the best bits and I had to try to stop myself from reading more. Luckily our group only got off topic once when we started talking about squished bread, pigs and sharks.
I found that books groups are really helpful and I read a book that I normally wouldn't read and ended up really enjoying it and would recommend it to everyone.
