Recently in class we have been learning about Anzac day. I have learnt a lot of new information from watching documentaries and listening to speakers.
Some of the information I learnt was:
-the Anzac soldiers landed in the wrong place
-The battles weren't just at Gallipoli
-They first went to Egypt
-British controlled the Anzac soldiers
-Victoria Cross is the highest medal to earn
And heaps of other information about weapons, trenches and stuff.
The Anzac celebrations that I went to was the light show which was really cool with all of the designs and pictures being projected onto the buildings and my netball team went to the Pulse vs Swifts game. At the game everyone stood up while a lady made a speech and a man played the traditional trumpet song and at half time three ladies came out all dressed in old fashioned clothes and did a song and dance.
