Changing the NZ flag?

This weeks blog post is on my opinion about changing the New Zealand flag.


First off, I REALLY don't want the flag to change. This flag is so important to the country. Our soldiers fought in the wars under this flag and it already has important symbols like the southern cross to represent our location and the union jack to show that we belong to the commonwealth. Changing the flag would also mean A LOT of money spent on something that isn't really a necessity at the moment.


Even though I don't want the flag to change, I had a look through the 40 possible new flag designs and chose my top 4.












I like how they all represent some thing a little bit different such as the maori koru, southern cross, silver fern and my personal favourite the land of the long white cloud. Even though I don't want the flag to be changed I really like all the creative new flag designs.
